Mine Cells - Dead Cells Mod 1.3.0

IMPORTANT

  • If you are updating from a previous version, make sure to reset the dimensions of Mine Cells! Follow the guide here
  • This is an alpha version! Please test it out and backup your world before deciding to use it!

Blocks

  • Prison Stone, Prison Cobblestone, Prison Bricks and Small Prison Bricks: each with their respective stairs, slabs and walls
  • Doors, trapdoors, fences and fence gates for Putrid Wood
  • Spawner Rune - alternative to a spawner. It spawns mobs when a player is nearby and waits for the mobs to be killed before spawning another

Generation

  • Completely overhauled Prison dungeon generation - Much smaller, easier to navigate through and better optimized!
  • Insufferable Crypt - new dimension, biome and dungeon (all in one). The Conjunctivius's Room was moved there

Conjunctivius Boss

  • Replaced the conjunctivius_unbreakable tag with conjunctivius_breakable, so the blocks are now opt-in rather than opt-out
  • Hard-coded some of Conjunctivius's parameters to make it less prone to getting bugged
  • Conjunctivius can now pass through blocks when doing the charge attack

Portals

  • Changed the way portals choose where they should teleport a player
  • Portals now display the name of their target dimension above themselves

Game rules

  • New Gamerule: minecells.suffocationFix (false by default) - teleports players out of a dimension if they were going to suffocate in bedrock

Other

  • Added a name for the Elevator (with a tip included)

    • speed: 0.5 -> 1.0
    • durability: 250 -> 600
  • Assassin's Dagger:
    • dmg: 5 -> 7
    • crit: 3 -> 5
  • Blood Sword:
    • dmg: 5 -> 7
    • bleeding cooldown: 30s -> 20s
  • Hattori's Katana:
    • dmg: 4 -> 8
    • speed: 2.0 -> 1.8
    • ability cooldown: 30s -> 15s
    • ability charge time: 2s -> 1.5s
    • durability: 800 -> 1200
  • Conjunctivius's Tentacle:
    • dmg: 6 -> 10
    • durability: 500 -> 800

Technical changes

  • new gamerule: minecells.mobsDropCells
  • removed old, unused code

New Block - The Spawn Rune (unfinished)

  • Alternative to a Mob Spawner

Mine Cells - Dead Cells Mod 1.2.2 beta

Blocks

  • Added 3 new (creative-only) decorative blocks: Alchemical Vials, Spilled Alchemical Vials and Alchemical Equipment.
  • Cell Forge's "Cell Liquid" texture is now slightly animated.

Bugfixes and improvements

  • Fixed incompatibility with It Takes a Pillage mod. (And possibly other mods that adjust the Milk Bucket's functionality)
  • Players who die in the Prison dimension now respawn there, in the portal they came from.
  • Quality of life changes for the Cell Forge:
    You can now shift-click items into their corresponding slots in the crafting inventory.
    The items come back into your inventory when you select another recipe.
    Selecting a recipe plays the "button press" sound effect.

Mine Cells - Dead Cells Mod 1.2.1 alpha

New block and game mechanic - the Cell Forge!

  • Currently only avilable in creative mode
  • Lets you combine items and cells to craft new items
  • You can create your own recipes using datapacks! (see the wiki entry for more info)

Cells

  • Cell drop reenabled
  • Two new config options added:
    • allMobsDropCells - if set to true, all living entities will drop cells
    • cellDropWhitelist - a list of mobs (excluding Mine Cells mobs) that will drop cells (if allMobsDropCells is set to false)

/cells command

  • /cells get <player> - displays the amount of cells the player has
  • /cells set <player> <amount> - sets the amount of cells the player has
  • /cells give <player> <amount> - adds the specified amount of cells to the player
  • /cells take <player> <amount> - removes the specified amount of cells from the player (fails if the player doesn't have enough cells)

Blocks

  • Spikes Block - when stepped on, it will deal damage to the player, apply bleeding, weakness and slowness. (Currently only available in creative mode)

Effects

  • Bleeding - deals damage over time. Cannot be removed with milk
  • Cursed - makes the player die instantly upon taking any damage. The only way to remove it is to wait for the effect to end

Items

  • Health Flask - restores 2 hearts, removes bleeding and poison

Weapons

  • Blood Sword - applies bleeding on hit (30s cooldown)
  • Cursed Sword - deals massive damage, but also brings a death curse upon the wielder
  • Hattori's Katana - little damage, fast, has a special charge ability when holding right click (30s cooldown)

  • Conjunctivius's Tentacle - Lets the user swing the tentacle and use it like a grappling hook

The Blood Sword and Hattori's Katana are found in loot in the Prison dungeon.
Cursed Sword and Conjunctivius's Tentacle drop from the Conjunctivius boss.

Fixes

  • The game should no longer crash if a portal cannot find the world data regarding its overworld destination. Instead, it will now teleport the player to the world spawn.

Generation

  • The Prison - a new dimension + structure, accessible through portals spawning in the Overworld.
    • each portal is unique and will teleport you to a different, unexplored part of the Prison
  • Overworld portals now activate automatically after you've acquired diamonds in the world
  • Removed overworld dungeon structure
  • The Kingdom dimension is now inaccessible in survival mode. It will be reintroduced in the future as The Promenade of The Condemned

Mine Cells 1.0.0 - first full release!

Now playable in survival!

Patch 1:

  • removed bug related to accesswideners

Expect many bugs, glitches and balancing issues. The mod is probably going to be pretty difficult for now, as no special equipment is implemented. Diamond+ armor is advised.

Overworld generation

  • New overworld dungeon
    • Contains a chest with the Interdimensional Rune
    • Kill enemies in and around the dungeon to get Cells
    • Right click while holding the Rune to fill it with a Cell
  • Overworld portal structure
    • Is and empty portal to the Mine Cells dimension
    • Right click while holding the Cell-filled Interdimensional Rune to activate it
    • Stand in the portal and wait for it to teleport you

Mine Cells dimensions

  • The Conjunctivius' Room:
    • Press the button to call the elevator. Then click on the elevator to go down. At the bottom of the shaft, there will be a room with the Conjunctivius boss.
  • a tower with the Assassin's dagger item at the top
  • some small, decorative structures.
